Date: 06 March 2026
International Women’s Day invites reflection on contribution and progress, both individually and as an organisation – a cause I fully support.
This year’s theme, Give to Gain, highlights how growth is built through exchange: when individuals invest their expertise, judgement and commitment, the organisation becomes stronger.
The colleagues featured here represent different functions and locations across Garrets. Through their roles, they contribute to how we serve our customers, collaborate across teams and continue to develop as an organisation.
Contribution looks different depending on where you work in the organisation. From vessels and supplier partnerships to operations, analytics and HR, the exchange between individual commitment and organisational growth takes many forms. All contribute to developing individuals and the organisation – and to growing our business.
Thank you for your contribution!
Hamish Cook, Managing Director – Garrets International
To showcase women in leadership positions across the business, we present five portraits reflecting on contribution and progress, both individually and as an organisation, illustrating this exchange in practice.
Diana brings practical support and hands-on guidance to vessels, ensuring that safe food management standards translate into daily practice on board through vessel visits and catering training.
Drawing on her experience as a former seafarer and her culinary education, she bridges operational insight and technical expertise, helping cooks build confidence in their roles and deliver quality meals that strengthens crew wellbeing.

Leading a team that connects vessels, suppliers and logistics within provision management, Mette creates clarity in a complex operational landscape. She focuses on alignment, accountability and coordination, enabling her team to execute with precision and confidence, delivering strong customer outcomes.
In return, she gains a comprehensive view of how decisions impact the wider organisation, strengthening her resilience and leadership judgement.

Lauren transforms vessel stock data into meaningful insight that supports customers’ operational performance, financial control, and informed decision-making. With a deep understanding of customer and fleet needs, she leads a team responsible for analysing consumption trends, identifying risks and highlighting areas that require action.
In return, the role has strengthened her confidence and leadership voice, reinforcing how analytical rigour and sound judgement influence organisational performance.

Building Partnerships that Drive Performance
Jam Prexsyn Manabat | Supplier Relationship Manager | Philippines
Jam contributes by strengthening collaboration, both internally and with suppliers, with a clear focus on excellence and performance.
In her previous role as Service Delivery Team Leader, she helped turn around high-risk, high-value customers, leading to additional vessels under management while reducing value risk. Her team also achieved leading KPI performance in purchase order turnaround across APAC for two consecutive years.

Anne contributes by creating clarity and stability with a people-focused perspective. In HR, she supports colleagues through development processes, guidance and structured frameworks that enable individuals to take ownership of their growth.
In return, she gains insight into how personal and organisational development reinforce one another. Supporting colleagues through milestones and challenges has shaped her understanding of leadership as something grounded in trust, openness and shared responsibility.
