This position will be based in Nørresundby.

As part of the Procurement Team, your role will be instrumental in driving supplier performance and ensuring our supply chain in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region meets the highest standards.

As Supplier Relationship Manager – EMEA, you will lead and develop supplier relationships across the region, ensuring our procurement practices align with Garrets’ high standards for safety, quality and value. You will be responsible for supplier performance, sourcing strategies and supporting cross-functional initiatives to continuously improve our supply chain operations.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead tenders and supplier negotiations to ensure Garrets secures competitive pricing and service.
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance on quality, pricing, and service delivery; conduct regular reviews with key suppliers.
  • Ensure suppliers meet Garrets' safety and quality standards, addressing escalations where necessary.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers in underserved or developing areas to expand our regional capabilities.
  • Share best practices across the supplier base to improve underperforming partners and elevate overall service quality.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on pricing trends, inflation, and market conditions to internal teams (Commercial, Operations, and Finance).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor information in relevant systems.
  • Oversee food safety product recall processes, ensuring swift and compliant responses.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and systems enhancements related to planning and performance reporting.

What you bring to Garrets

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management (maritime industry experience is a plus).
  • Strong contract negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Numerically proficient with solid data analysis capabilities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management experience.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to manage both strategic and tactical responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience working in multicultural and international environments.
  • Having experience within the maritime business and working with provision is not required, but would be a great advantage.

Furthermore, you have strong English skills, both written and spoken, and have a solid experience in the use of ERP systems and MS Office.
