Central role in supporting our customers’ vessels in their monthly stocktaking

As our new Stock Analyst, we are looking forward to welcoming you to our Service Delivery Team in our Nørresundby office under EMEA Operation focusing on supporting approx. 200 vessels worldwide. The EMEA Operation is counting 18 colleagues in total whereof 5 are located in Denmark.

In this position you will have a central role in supporting our customers’ vessels in their monthly stocktaking to verify, approve and update their inventories to optimize vessels usage of their budgets and do it in close collaboration with Garrets Vessel Account Managers across locations. Our customers are sailing worldwide and even though this position is executed from the office, it still gives you the opportunity to have customer contact in every corner of the world.

In this role you get the chance to put your analytical competencies in play supporting vessels with their monthly stock reports to optimize their usage of provision budgets – and within that field your key responsibilities will be:

  • Monthly verification of food consumption value through the analysis of the manning and stock reports submitted by the vessels
  • Analyze consumption trends, product usage and purchases to identify key patterns and insights
  • Monthly closure of stocks on all vessels by the deadline set by Garrets management and external clients
  • Onboarding new clients – ensuring smooth efficient training where needed towards the vessel
  • Ensuring timely and accurate validation of the vessel’s provision receipt against the purchase order
  • Effective communication and collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient query resolution

We have asked a colleague what a normal day in the office looks like;

“The day kicks off with checking emails, making sure our Captains’ and Chief Cooks’ needs are met as we process through the stock reports for multiple vessels across different time zones. Between collaborating with colleagues and clients—crunching data and ensuring inventory accuracy — every minute counts to keep our customers at the heart of our business.”

What you bring to Garrets

Your experience could be from working with inventory management, supply chain forecasting, data analysis or a similar position, but the key to this role is experience, interest and motivation for data analysis and having close contact with customers and internal stakeholders.
